£50,000 + Car allowance and bonus + benefits
Hybrid (3 days a week office)

Hamilton Woods are working with a dynamic and established business looking for a Financial Reporting Manager.

This role will ensure that the business has accurate information about local accounting, statutory and tax requirements affecting their areas of responsibility. Working closely with the general accounting team and tax compliance outsourcers, the accountant must ensure that statutory accounts, tax and other associated returns are submitted to the relevant authorities in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Statutory Accounts:
    • Create company accounts and audit files from US GAAP records.
    • Handle statutory adjustments and period 13 postings in Oracle.
    • Perform reconciliations, P&L analysis, and variance analysis.
    • Assist with statutory audits and prepare financial accounts with notes.
    • Prepare legal documents and file statutory accounts.
    • Map US GAAP accounts to statutory categories.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Document statutory accounting and tax compliance processes.
    • Maintain statutory and tax requirement files for selected countries.
    • Keep company secretarial records and ensure compliance with financial laws.
  • Information Management:
    • Keep a master directory of final statutory accounts, tax returns, and intercompany contracts.
  • Tax Duties:
    • Track and manage tax declaration and payment schedules.
    • Create and update process notes for tax returns.
    • Collaborate with local outsourcers on tax and other returns.
    • Maintain book-to-tax reconciliations and handle tax submissions and payments.
    • Communicate with tax authorities and support tax audits.
    • Estimate quarterly tax rates and reconcile US GAAP charges with final returns.
  • General Support:
    • Work with the General Accounting Team and support treasury KYC requirements.
    • Coordinate with country-specific outsourcers and maintain 'Huddle' relationships.
    • Assist the Line Manager with various tasks and ensure VAT and withholding tax compliance.
    • Maintain documentation on statutory and corporate tax compliance


The Successful candidate will have:

  • Solid experience as a financial accountant or external audit.
  • Experience in statutory accounts preparation and tax return preparation
  • Understanding of UK Gaap or statutory accounting in another jurisdiction (ie Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Germany, France, Portugal, Italy, Spain)
  • Understanding of statutory accounts preparation process
  • Qualified (UK: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar European qualification), or qualified through experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
