Key responsibilities of the Head of Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports in line with statutory requirements and internal deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain the integrity of financial records.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Manage the development and delivery of financial statements, including balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, driving a culture of continuous improvement and best practice.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Drive enhancements in financial reporting systems and processes.
- Lead audit processes, acting as the main point of contact with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the production of VAT returns.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
Key essentials of the Head of Financial Reporting:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Strong technical accounting skills and up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards.
- Advanced Excel and financial systems skills.
