Key Responsibilities: • Develop and build relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to customers • Ensure freight is moved on time with all the necessary documentation • Arrange haulage with shipping line • Ensure all relevant documents are on hand as required • Ensure requests and queries are resolved and actioned quickly and efficiently • Communicate with overseas agents, customers and suppliers in a clear precise manner • Use customer SAP systems as and when required • Take ownership of your own training and development so as to continuously improve and develop General Skills • Industry and operational knowledge of Ocean freight • An understanding of why attention to detail matters and the commercial impact this has • Able to cope and accustomed to working under pressure to meet fixed deadlines • Strong numerical and commercial skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent attention to detail • Excellent usage of computer / operating system (Microsoft Windows) along with other office applications (Microsoft Office) (Cargowise - preferable) • Proactive, team worker with excellent time management and organisation skills
