Location: Birmingham

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000

Hours: 36 hours per week (Mon-Thurs:, Fri:)

To aid in their ongoing expansion and modernization efforts, we are seeking a dynamic Compliance, Health, Safety, and Environment Manager to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Management: Oversee all Health & Safety and compliance operations across the site.
  • Standards & Certifications: Manage ISO45001, ISO14001, and ISO5001 certifications.
  • Safety Improvement: Develop and progress safety improvement plans and cultural development.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure all compliance measures are up to date, conduct risk assessments, and manage hazardous waste protocols.
  • Training & Development: Conduct training sessions and support continuous professional development for staff.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison with directors regarding site-level changes and improvements.
  • Operational Audits: Conduct regular floor walks to challenge non-conformance and ensure proper use of PPE.
  • KPI Management: Track and report on key performance indicators such as incident rates, safety observations, and near-miss reporting.
  • Leadership: Responsible for one direct report

About You:

  • Qualifications: NEBOSH certification is essential.
  • Experience: Proven track record in manufacturing, automation, or heavy industry sectors.
  • Prior Experience: Have worked previously as a health and safety manager or in a similar capacity
  • Skills: Excellent communication, calm under pressure, and a fact-based management approach.
  • Attributes: Drive, passion, desire for longevity, ownership, and a challenging mindset.
