HR Advisor Responsibilities:
- Assisting with recruitment, which involves liaising with Managers, creating job descriptions, placing job adverts, shortlisting responses and interviewing candidates
- Taking ownership of the induction process, successfully onboarding new starters and ensuring all new starter documentation is completed
- Performing all HR administration tasks, which includes producing letters, employment contracts, and documents ahead of meetings
- Leading ER cases, which includes leading investigations, taking minutes, and chairing meetings
- Supporting with redundancies
- Creating new policies and procedures and updating existing policies in line with legislation
- Managing the HR inbox, swiftly and accurately responding to incoming queries from employees
- Collaborating with recruitment agencies and the warehouse team to arrange agency appointments
- Working closely with the payroll team, informing them of new starters, leavers, and absence
- Maintaining the HR system, ensuring all data and personnel files are accurate and up-to-date
- Gathering data to create reports using Excel spreadsheets
HR Advisor Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record in a HR Generalist role, already operating at Advisor level
- Experience handling ER cases from start to finish and confident in making decisions
- Knowledge of HR legislation and keeps up to date with employment law news and updates
- Pro-active in your approach to work, with a can-do attitude and happy to take on responsibility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence and build rapport
- Strong IT skills, with particular knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Possesses a full driving licence and can travel UK wide
