Our client is seeking a Solicitor with 0 to 6 years PQE, specialising in Banking and Asset-Based Lending. This is an exciting opportunity to join a regional team based in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have some invoice finance, receivables financing or asset-based lending experience. However, candidates with a general banking background are also encouraged to apply as knowledge of more general banking / LMA work is essential.

What you'll do:

You will be part of a dynamic and growing global team that delivers outstanding results for their clients. You will have the opportunity to work on complex multi-jurisdictional matters and advise a broad range of funders and borrowers on various financing transactions, including asset-based lending, receivables finance and more mainstream corporate, leveraged and real estate finance. You will also have the chance to work with the wider structured finance team on securitisation and debt capital markets transactions.

  • Advise a broad range of funders and borrowers on various financing transactions.

  • Act for all the UK clearing banks, European and investment banks, independent financiers and investment funds on all types of facilities across asset-based lending.

  • Work with the wider structured finance team on securitisation and debt capital markets transactions.

  • Act for many borrowers, from listed companies to small enterprises, on their financings.

  • Deliver a high-quality legal service with access to deep knowledge of current market practice.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and partners across the network of offices.

What you bring:

The successful Banking Solicitor will bring valuable sector knowledge gained experience in a commercial firm and be willing to learn new skills.

  • 0-6 years PQE with at least 1 seat in banking.

  • Banking experience in a commercial firm or In House organisation.

  • Ability to forge strong working relationships with colleagues both in the office and in an agile environment.

  • "Can-do" attitude and willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues and partners.
