Location: Birmingham

Salary: £70-80,000 DOE.

The Role:Our Top50 client is seeking a Senior Associate Solicitor to join their esteemed Employment team. This role involves providing expert advice to employers on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, particularly within the health and care sector. You will also engage in business development activities to promote the firm's practise, ensuring that you contribute to the growth of the team.

The work is diverse, covering sectors including private and NHS health and care clients, commercial enterprises, and higher education institutions. Your expertise will help guide our clients through complex employment issues, making a significant impact on their operations.

The Person:To excel in this role, you should possess a minimum of 4+ years of experience as an employment lawyer, either in a reputable law firm or through in-house experience. You will be a self-starter with strong initiative, comfortable managing your own caseload, and adept at delegating tasks to junior team members. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will be crucial in handling multiple matters simultaneously.

Key attributes include:

  • Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in managing Employment Tribunal cases and advisory matters.
  • A keen interest in developing training skills for clients.
  • High-level IT and research capabilities, including experience with online resources.

Desirable qualifications include prior experience advising large employers and advocacy experience.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Law degree or equivalent qualification.
  • A demonstrated passion for employment law.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven track record in time and documentation management.
