Job Title: Operations Manager - FMCG
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday: 8am - 4pm (occasional weekends/night shift overseeing as required so must be flexible)
Salary: Competitive - £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Report directly to the Development Director and act as the second in command on site with full autonomy over operations
- Oversee and manage daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
- Lead and support operational teams to meet company objectives
- Monitor and improve operational processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Manage inventory, logistics, and supply chain activities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and reduce costs
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement business strategies
- Ensure health and safety protocols are strictly followed
- Analyse operational data and prepare reports to support decision-making
- Manage staff performance, training, and development
- Resolve operational challenges and implement effective solutions
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in an operations management role
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach
- Proficiency in using operational management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in the food manufacturing or distribution industry
- Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge
- Project management experience
- Familiarity with ERP systems
