Weekly Pay

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you'll assist the maintenance craftsperson in maintaining, repairing, and inspecting mechanical building services. Your role involves ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planned Maintenance: Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems.
  • Breakdown Response: Address ad-hoc breakdown requests promptly as directed.
  • Installation Support: Assist in minor upgrades and adaptations.
  • Fault Diagnosis: Conduct systematic fault finding on malfunctioning equipment safely.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow health & safety guidelines and safe working practices.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely use access equipment and hand/power tools per manufacturers' guidelines.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate written and electronic records.
  • Team Collaboration: Work flexibly with other trades and communicate effectively with departments to minimize disruption.
  • Training: Engage in training to acquire new skills and knowledge.
  • Risk Assessments: Perform site risk assessments as directed.
  • Customer Focus: Collaborate to ensure a customer-focused service.
  • On-Call Duties: Participate in the Engineer on-call rota for additional pay.
  • Authorized Person Duties: Undertake AP duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant mechanical maintenance qualifications or experience.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety practices.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Good communication skills.
