Your new organisationWe are recruiting for a Communications and Engagement Officer for Birmingham City Council on a 6-month contract basis, starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about internal communications and marketing, that is also confident in contributing to organisation effectiveness and talent.
Your new role:In this Communications and Engagement job, you will be joining the Oracle team within the People Service division. You will be reporting to the Engagement and Communications Lead, this role focuses on providing advice and information in-year within the Organisation Effectiveness Centre of Excellence team to develop and deliver employee engagement and communication solutions in order to positively contribute to the council's, directorates and People Service strategic outcomes.You will also be required to support the development and operational delivery of the Engagement and Communications Strategy which sets out a roadmap to obtain higher employee engagement and work satisfaction levels to enable the council to achieve higher performance and productivity as well as increase its employer value proposition (EVP) and become and employer of choice.You will work to deliver high standards with an ethos of continually improving the services to its customers to support the delivery of key performance indicators / targets for the Organisation Effectiveness & Talent department.
What you'll need to succeed:You will have significant experience within a communications and engagement role, especially within workforce engagement and large organisations. You will need to be available to start as soon as possible and visit their office in Birmingham when required.
What you will get in returnThis role is working Monday - Friday, on an initial 6-month contract. There is a high possibility this role could extend to a 1 year contract. You will be paid on a weekly basis of up to 400 per day.
