Job Title: Process Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Up to 拢45,000 per annum plus comprehensive benefits package
We are representing a leading company specializing in innovative solutions within the water and wastewater industry. They are seeking a talented Process Engineer to join their team in Birmingham. Main Duties & Responsibilities:
路Tender Strategy Input: Provide process expertise during internal tender strategy and review meetings, and follow up on agreed actions.
路Project Support: Offer process and technical support to project teams during contract execution, including preparation of key process documentation such as Design Basis, Process Guarantees, Block Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and more.
路Quotation Assessment: Evaluate the technical content of returned quotations to ensure alignment with project requirements.
路Order Checking: Verify the technical accuracy of orders prepared by Purchasing.
路Vendor Communication: Address technical queries from vendors and provide clear, comprehensive responses.
路Specification Understanding: Develop a thorough understanding of both Client and Company specifications to clearly define process requirements.
路Team Communication: Maintain effective communication with the Lead Design Co-ordinator, Project Manager, Proposals Engineer, and other stakeholders including Clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
路Design Input: Contribute to design meetings and reviews, including HAZOP studies and Value Engineering processes.
路Commissioning & Troubleshooting: Provide technical input into commissioning programming and troubleshooting activities.
路Data Collection: Oversee the collection of operational and performance data from sites, and contribute to the development of computer-aided process design techniques.
路Field Studies: Conduct field/pilot studies and tests as required.
路Sales Support: Offer support to the sales team as needed.
路Standards & Manuals: Assist in the preparation of standards, design notes, manuals, and maintain technical files.
路Technology & Compliance: Stay updated on relevant technological advancements, and adhere to Health and Safety and Environmental Management System policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
路Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
路Working towards Chartered Engineer, Eur Ing, or similar status.
路Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a range of IT packages.
路3 to 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer, preferably within the water/wastewater industry.
路Experience in participating in HAZOP studies.
Desirable:
路Experience with BioWin design model.
