Your new companyA large and expanding not-for-profit organisation based in Birmingham is recruiting for an Accounts Receivable Team Lead on a 12-month fixed-term contract with a high chance of becoming permanent. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of 4 AR clerks. You will ensure the timely and accurate processing of receivables, undertaking key reconciliations of bank and balance sheet reconciliations whilst ensuring income is accurately processed. Your new role
- To manage the AR team of 4.
- Produce Timely Bank Reconciliations and Income uploaded on various platforms.
- Liaise regularly with the teams to ensure that income is accurately captured and allocated.
- Ensure all bank accounts are reconciled in accordance with the month-end timetable
- Produce debtor reports to the Head of Accounts
- Be the main point of contact for any queries.
- Conduct monthly 1-1's with all the AR clerks and ensure monthly objectives are met.
- Work closely with the payables and treasury departments and make sure all payments are submitted accurately and on a timely basis.
- Responsible for all cash handling including cash returns & weekly cash count of the safe in multiple currencies.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstratable accounts receivable experience in a high-volume environment.
- Experience managing, training and mentoring a team in credit control or AR.
- Strong understanding of accounting concepts (e.g. accounting for payables and receivables) and an understanding of the concept of accrued and deferred income.
- Able to create and analyse financial documents, statements and reports
- High level of computer literacy, experience using spreadsheets and accounting software
