Your new companyThis school is looking for an experienced Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant who can assist in the classroom mainly, but also support with 1:1 intervention with a child with Autism. Based in Selly Oak (B29, Birmingham), this primary academy holds a 'good' Ofsted rating, and offers the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a mainstream school environment.

Your new role

This is a full-time role, Monday - Friday. Your typical day will be from 8:30am-3:30pm. This school is looking for someone who can start immediately and who is able to support the year 1 class teacher with daily tasks, group work and 1:1 work when required. What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate must have previous TA experience working with children with SEN, a strong knowledge of the year 1 curriculum, and also previous experience and confidence doing 1:1 intervention sessions in maths and English. A successful candidate will also be flexible, enthusiastic, interactive and most importantly have a keen dedication to the wellbeing and educational needs of their students.What you'll get in return
