Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Pay Rate: £90.15 - £99.65 per day
Location: Moseley
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

 

Smart Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students aged 3 to 19 years with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Job Requirements:

  • A valid Child or Child and Adult Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a school or similar SEN setting
  • Experience working with children or young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Ability to provide tailored support to meet individual student needs
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting diverse learning styles
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with teachers and SENCOs

 

Your Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized assistance to students with ASD. You will help students engage with their learning and social development, assist with personal care when necessary, and manage challenging behaviours in a positive and supportive way. Your role will be key to creating an inclusive, understanding, and nurturing environment for all students.
