Long Term Futures are working with a fantastic mainstream primary school in Aston (B6) that is home to a well-resourced specialist base supporting children with complex special educational needs (SEN). The school is looking for a committed and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team and provide targeted 1:1 and small group support.
This is a hands-on, rewarding role ideal for someone who has worked with complex SEN (such as autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, or sensory needs) in a primary school setting.
Your Role:
- Support children with complex SEN in a nurturing resource base
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCPs
- Provide tailored support to help pupils regulate emotions and engage in learning
- Assist with communication aids, sensory tools, and structured routines
- Promote inclusion and build trusting relationships with pupils

- Experience supporting children with complex SEN
- Previous work in a primary school setting supporting SEN
- Calm, patient, and consistent approach
- Team player with a flexible, proactive attitude
