About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Bordesley Green, supporting students in KS2 with special educational needs (SEN). This full-time role starts in February 2025 and is a rewarding opportunity to help children thrive in an inclusive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored one-on-one and small group support to KS2 students with SEN.
  • Assist with delivering interventions that support individual learning needs.
  • Implement and monitor individualised education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the teacher.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning activities.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other staff to track and support student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role is highly desirable.
  • Suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking valuable SEN experience before starting their ECT year.
  • A passion for working with children with additional needs and a commitment to making a difference.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to a dynamic classroom setting.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support are advantageous.
