Location: Bordesley Green, B9Company: Long Term Futures Employment Type: Full-TimeStart Date: February 2025Pay Rate: £380 - £420 per week (after deductions)
About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Bordesley Green, supporting students in KS2 with special educational needs (SEN). This full-time role starts in February 2025 and is a rewarding opportunity to help children thrive in an inclusive and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored one-on-one and small group support to KS2 students with SEN.
- Assist with delivering interventions that support individual learning needs.
- Implement and monitor individualised education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the teacher.
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning activities.
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work closely with the class teacher and other staff to track and support student progress.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role is highly desirable.
- Suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking valuable SEN experience before starting their ECT year.
- A passion for working with children with additional needs and a commitment to making a difference.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to a dynamic classroom setting.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support are advantageous.
