Smart Education is currently recruiting for a flexible and skilled professional to join a special school as a Class Teacher for pupils aged 11-19 with autism. These pupils have an education, health, and care plan and face challenges in social interaction, communication, or emotional understanding, which affect their ability to access the curriculum.

Role Overview:As a Class Teacher, you will adapt your teaching to ensure students are challenged and make progress. You may teach pupils in Key Stage 3, 4, or 5, across a variety of pathways, from academic to developmental curriculums. Teachers with any subject specialism and experience in primary, secondary, or special schools are encouraged to apply.

  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or willingness to obtain one
  • Understanding of safeguarding practices
