About the Role
Aspire People are currently recruiting for an experienced Food Technology Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant and dynamic secondary school in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for food technology and education, looking to make a positive impact on students' learning in a supportive school environment.

The Food Technology Cover Supervisor will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students are engaged with their lessons and working to the best of their ability. You will support pupils in practical food technology lessons, manage classroom behavior, and provide guidance on tasks, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage food technology classes in the absence of the subject teacher.
Ensure that lesson plans are followed and that students remain on task.
Provide support to students, especially during practical food sessions, ensuring safety standards are maintained.
Manage classroom behavior in line with the school's behavior policies.
Assist students with their work, providing support and guidance where necessary.
Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
Report back on student progress and any issues that arise during the lesson.
Skills and Experience:
Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a secondary school setting.
A strong interest or background in Food Technology or related subjects.
Excellent classroom management skills.
