I'm currently working in partnership with a building consultancy supporting them with the crucial hire of a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be a vital part of their Project & Programme Services team to work across exciting and prestigious projects. £58,000 - £60,000 per annum 5 days office/ onsite with potential for some flexibilityLocation: Teesside

As the Senior QS you who will be responsible for delivering work that is driven by excellence as well as doing the right thing, and you will share our reputation for working on some of the UK's most high-profile commissions.

You will work across projects within the complex infrastructure business, initially within our energy sector.

You will work within the Client team principally in a site-based office environment.

Key:

  • Operating within an integrated client-led project team to deliver one of the most innovative and complex industrial projects in the UK.
  • Prepare and manage budgets and financial reports across the lifecycle of your projects.
  • Close liaison with the supply chain to provide accurate monitoring, forecasting and reporting of project costs and performance ensuring value for money and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct cost audit throughout the supply chain including the production of findings reports.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project delivery.
  • NEC skill set and sound, extensive knowledge of contracts
  • You will be accessing a secure site

Experience:

  • Proven track record of leading projects for UK public sector funded clients.
  • Previous experience in the oil and gas sector/ petrochemical (highly desirable).
  • Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent recognised body (desirable).
  • Extensive experience with standard forms and client bespoke contracts and similar.
  • Experience leading business development and, or account management activities for major construction clients.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
