This company, based in Blackburn, offers a fantastic opportunity for a skilled finance professional to manage the statutory audit process and contribute to continuous improvement projects within the finance function.

Your new roleAs the Finance Manager for Audit, you will play a vital role in managing the statutory audit process, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and transparency. Your responsibilities will include leading the statutory external audit process, managing audit task trackers, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and implementing robust internal controls. You will also be involved in various continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing internal controls, balance sheet reconciliations, local statutory accounts, month-end processes, and financial reporting practices.

What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will hold a finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), with experience working in an Audit role, with no previous experience within industry required. You will need strong organisational and project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. You should have a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
