Job Title: IT Manager / Senior Support Technician

This is an onsite role Monday - Friday (8am - 4pm OR 9am - 5pm)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager / Senior Support Technician to join our dynamic team in Blackburn. This is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for the strategic planning, management, and optimisation of our IT systems and infrastructure. You will ensure the security, efficiency, and reliability of our technology environment while driving improvements in IT processes and providing expert guidance to senior management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, hands-on experience with a wide range of IT systems, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary advisor on IT-related matters, reporting directly to the Group Technology Director.
- Formulate and review IT policies and procedures to align with business objectives.
- Manage, migrate, and maintain:
- Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Endpoint Manager
- Windows 11, Backup and on-premise servers (Windows 2016, Veeam, NAS).
- Networking systems (SonicWall, Cisco Meraki, Unifi, Cisco Umbrella).
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server technology.
- Lead project-related tasks, including acquisitions, system migrations, office moves, and new server features.
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience in managing and maintaining a diverse range of IT systems and technologies.
- Expertise in migrating and managing Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, and other Microsoft technologies.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture and client/server technology.
- Familiarity with system migrations, both on-premise and in the cloud.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001 information security processes is desirable.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
