Prospero Teaching is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a primary school in Blackburn, starting in March 2025 until July 2025.
The role involves supporting pupils in small groups, covering lessons during teacher PPA, and maintaining communication with the class teacher.
Candidates must have a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification and previous experience in covering lessons for Key Stage 1 and 2.
The position is full-time, with hours from 8:15 am to 3 pm, and offers a pay rate ranging from £110 to £130 per day, depending on experience.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and hold an enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.

HLTA - Blackburn:

Prospero Teaching are currently looking for a HLTA to join a lovely primary school in Blackburn. You will be supporting pupils in small groups and leading lessons while the teacher is on PPA.

This is a full time position to start in March and run until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of the curriculum, both core and foundation subjects.

The Role:

Covering lessons while the teacher is on PPA
Supporting pupils 1-1 and in small groups
Maintaining regular communication with the class teacher to monitor progress of the pupils
Building rapport with students, staff and parents

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification required
Previous experience covering lessons for KS1 and KS2

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold right to work in the UK
Hold and enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
