Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be parted with a leading FMCG Manufacturing group, seeking to recruit their new Head of Supply Chain, based at their manufacturing & head office operation in Blackburn.A developing privately owned manufacturing business, part of a wider group of businesses, dedicated to world class manufacturing processes. Role Overview:The Head of Supply Chain will play a critical role in ensuring seamless coordination and integration of our end-to-end supply chain activities, from procurement to delivery. Leading a team across procurement, planning, logistics and warehouse management, you will drive strategic initiatives to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and optimise cost-effectiveness. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape supply chain excellence in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with substantial potential for impact and professional growth.The role requires an experienced manufacturing supply chain leader. With in-depth experience across the key functions and an ability to implement and deliver a robust S&OP process which will underpin the platform for future business revenue growth.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership and Development• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across procurement, warehouse, and planning functions for all company sites.• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and professional growth opportunities.Cross-Functional Collaboration• Collaborate with logistics, production, sales, and finance teams to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and optimise stock.• Partner with other departments to ensure seamless alignment between supply chain operations and business goals.Strategic Supply Chain Optimisation• Develop and lead a robust S&OP process to provide a solid foundation for business growth.• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and shorten lead times.• Align supply chain operations with overall business objectives to support growth and profitability.Performance Monitoring and KPI’s• Track, analyse, and report on key supply chain performance metrics, including inventory turnover, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency.• Identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous optimisation initiatives.Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:o Supply chain professional – educated to degree levelo Proven track record in supply chain optimisation and process improvement, within an FMCG / fast paced manufacturing environment. o Comprehensive knowledge of procurement, logistics, inventory management and production planning.o Thorough understanding of a manufacturing S&OP process.
