Hours: a choice of 6-2, 7-3, 8-4 etc
£40,000

We are looking for a process improvement craftsperson/toolmaker to join the team on a full time, permanent basis.
The Role:
Working as part of the front line production maintenance engineering team, you will be one of only 2 members of the team based in the engineering workshop, your responsibilities will cover the following:
- Identify persistent faults with the engineering and operations teams.
- Use a variety of mechanical manufacturing tools/machinery to provide solutions: milling, turning, grinding etc
- Provide technical support to the maintenance engineers and operations team.
- Analyse and optimise production processes
- Own and manage small projects within the engineering department.
The Person:
- Comprehensive machining experience using a range of mechanical manufacturing tools: milling, turning, grinding etc
- A good understand of process improvement and the associated tools/methodologies
- Previous experience working in a production manufacturing facility (ideally working with continuous production lines) – beneficial
- Qualified to level 3 or above in a relevant engineering discipline
- Previous experience working in a fast paced environment (FMCG, packaging etc)- beneficial
- You could’ve previously worked as: maintenance engineer, process improvement engineer, manufacturing engineer, CNC machinist, production engineer and other alike titles
