Monday to Friday (days only)

Hours: a choice of 6-2, 7-3, 8-4 etc

£40,000

We are looking for a process improvement craftsperson/toolmaker to join the team on a full time, permanent basis.

The Role:

Working as part of the front line production maintenance engineering team, you will be one of only 2 members of the team based in the engineering workshop, your responsibilities will cover the following:

  • Identify persistent faults with the engineering and operations teams.
  • Use a variety of mechanical manufacturing tools/machinery to provide solutions: milling, turning, grinding etc
  • Provide technical support to the maintenance engineers and operations team.
  • Analyse and optimise production processes
  • Own and manage small projects within the engineering department.

The Person:

  • Comprehensive machining experience using a range of mechanical manufacturing tools: milling, turning, grinding etc
  • A good understand of process improvement and the associated tools/methodologies
  • Previous experience working in a production manufacturing facility (ideally working with continuous production lines) – beneficial
  • Qualified to level 3 or above in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Previous experience working in a fast paced environment (FMCG, packaging etc)- beneficial
  • You could’ve previously worked as: maintenance engineer, process improvement engineer, manufacturing engineer, CNC machinist, production engineer and other alike titles
