About the Role:
As a Key Stage 3 Teacher, you'll deliver the curriculum, implement SEN strategies, and create a supportive, nurturing classroom environment. You'll also contribute to the school's pastoral system, fostering strong relationships with students, staff, and parents to promote academic and emotional growth.
Responsibilities:
- Tailor the Key Stage 3 curriculum to meet the individual needs of students with SEN, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Implement effective teaching and behaviour strategies to promote students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents to support progress and well-being.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, focusing on behaviour support strategies to enhance teaching practice.
- Uphold safeguarding and child protection standards, maintaining a safe learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a relevant subject area
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent certification
- Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 3 curriculum and assessment requirements
Requirements:
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, students, and parents
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning
- Experience in using educational technology and digital resources is desirable
