Bolton Council are seeking a highly organised and motivated Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support to two Chief Officers. This role is crucial for a period of six months to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will be adept at managing a fast-paced environment, demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office, and skilled in various administrative tasks including calendar and inbox management, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and arranging travel.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide comprehensive support to the Chief Leadership Team (CLT) and the Department Leadership Teams (DLTs), ensuring maximum efficiency.
  • Organise diaries, manage correspondence and handle phone calls in a professional, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Identify key tasks, prioritise them, and ensure delegated work is completed appropriately.
  • Arrange external appointments and seminars, attend meetings, take minutes, and ensure follow-up actions are completed by action owners.
  • Prepare and provide briefing notes, presentations, reports, spreadsheets, speech notes, general research, complaint responses, and any other relevant strategic support.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or similar role, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in calendar and inbox management.
  • Strong ability to prepare agendas, take minutes, and arrange travel.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
