Bolton Council are seeking a HR Project Lead to spearhead cross-departmental HR and Organisational Development transformation activity. This pivotal role within the Corporate HR Team focuses on delivering key aspects of the Council's People Plan and Workforce Strategy, fostering innovative solutions and strategic improvements.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead initiatives and projects that develop and embed our people priorities such as recruitment and retention, digital/data integration, and flexible working.
  • Manage projects from initiation to implementation with a proactive and creative approach.
  • Utilise data to inform the development of comprehensive HR/OD plans and strategies.
  • Provide strategic policy and employment law advice, supporting the implementation of policies and strategies.
  • Design and develop corporate HR/OD strategies, including drafting reports, procedures, guidance, and communications.
  • Produce detailed HR/OD reports and audits, analyse issues, and propose practical and effective solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in leading HR and OD projects, with a strong background facilitating strategic reviews.
  • Solid understanding of employment law and strategic policy development.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across various departments.
