Your Day to day duties in the role
You will be involved in mig and tig welding and fabrication of components
Experience/Skills and Education Requirements
Desirable:
- Welding Carbon Steel from 6mm up to 150mm
- Heavy plate Mig welding experience is critical, some of our machined joints at take up to 60 weld passes over a distance of 3m
- Tig welding experience beneficial
- Working to strict WPS under close supervision
- Coded to BS EN 9606
- Using overhead crane
- All work produced is to be capable of passing UT, MPI and visual inspection
- Grinding, Gouging, and Polishing
- Knowledge of pre-heating methods
- Will display knowledge of preparing root welds with ceramic backing
- Will be required to undertake and pass a security background check
- Any other ad hoc duties as may be required and as are commensurate with the grade of the post
Hours of work
- The role is on days
- The work is on a permanent basis
Salary and Benefits
- Rate is 16.08 whilst in 3 month probation rising to 16.58 after probation
