Key Responsibilities of an ICT/Media Teacher:

  • Delivering engaging and innovative lessons in ICT and Media across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5.
  • Designing and implementing a curriculum that fosters creativity and digital literacy.
  • Inspiring students to explore and excel in ICT and Media, preparing them for future challenges.
  • Assessing, tracking, and supporting students’ progress to ensure they achieve their potential.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to promote a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements of an ICT/Media Teacher:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS (or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching ICT and/or Media to secondary school students.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for digital technology and media.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
