Role Overview

They are seeking a resilient and proactive Business Development Executive to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who is not afraid to pick up the phone and call potential clients to further develop our business. The successful candidate will focus on generating new business and managing existing customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate New Business:

    • Concentrate on expanding sales within the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, and Industrial sectors, which will account for 75% of your responsibilities.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target industries.
  • Customer Account Management:

    • Oversee a select group of existing clients on behalf of other sales team members.
    • Cross-sell additional products to existing clients, comprising 25% of your duties.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Sales and Marketing Support:

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement sales strategies.
    • Provide feedback on market trends and customer needs to inform product development.
  • Administrative Duties:

    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions using CRM systems like Hubspot.
    • Prepare regular reports on sales performance and market analysis.

Key Requirements

  • Exemplary English language skills (both spoken and written) with a keen eye for detail.
  • Educated to degree level with a minimum 2:1 qualification.
  • Some educational background at A-Level or Degree Level in a scientific subject, or Maths.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a Business Development or Sales role.
  • Highly numerate and familiar with standard MS software.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with using a CRM such as Hubspot or similar.
  • A foreign language would be beneficial, but not essential.
  • A mature and trustworthy character is important.
