Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Care and Support Broker to ensure commissioned services deliver a person-centred approach that promotes independence, choice, and dignity. This role involves efficiently managing placements, budgets, and provider negotiations to meet client needs. You'll play a key role in supporting individuals by ensuring they are matched with appropriate care services that meet their needs, while maintaining quality and value for money.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure services comply with Care Act requirements and deliver best value.

Source and broker care provision for various customer groups, including hospital discharges, community care, mental health, and learning disability support.

Interpret client requests to identify the most suitable care options, liaising with social workers and care managers where necessary.

Liaise with providers to negotiate costs, confirm care packages, and ensure alignment with budget constraints.

Work with providers to manage care changes, ensuring accurate updates to billing, contracts, and client contributions.

Maintain accurate records, issue agreements, and ensure compliance with standards.

Engage with providers regularly to stay informed about available care options and respond to changes in demand.

Support team members, provide guidance, and contribute to service improvements and project delivery.
Skills and Experience:

Relevant qualifications (3 A Levels, NVQ 3, HND, or equivalent experience).

Experience in brokering care and interpreting care needs.

Strong knowledge of care provision practices, legislation, and financial arrangements.

Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to manage provider relationships effectively.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

Excellent communication skills, resilience, and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and adapt to changing demands.
