Client Executive

We are seeking a Client Executive to join our team, offering a developmental path towards a Client Manager position. This role involves supporting the Client Manager to achieve profitable sales and distribution of our clients’ products within the UK, aligning with both client and company objectives.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage P&L spreadsheets, monitoring profitability by SKU and account, and implement measures to maximise ROI.
  • Oversee client trade spend, ensuring all trade invoices are documented to prevent financial exposure.
  • Handle trade sales reports, providing trend analysis and gap analysis.
  • Prepare for and participate in client review meetings.
  • Support the sales force with gap analysis, trade presentations, sales aids, category solutions, regular sales updates, and promotional plans.
  • Provide a rolling 12-month sales forecast to supply chain and clients.
  • Take full responsibility for cycle preparation, negotiating sales and distribution targets with the client, and presenting at various sales meetings.
  • Achieve key business objectives as set with the Client Manager.
  • Carry out additional tasks related to the job function as requested by the Client Manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience within FMCG, preferably in sales, trade marketing, or category management.
  • Educated to A-level standard or equivalent, with a good standard of general education including Maths and English.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and forecast accordingly.
  • Strategic mindset and good negotiation skills for making sound commercial decisions.
  • Excellent organisational skills to balance and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of category management and core ranging principles.
  • Proficient in Excel at an intermediate level for interpreting sales data and creating reports.
  • Capable of using PowerPoint at an intermediate level to create compelling presentations.
  • Ability to work autonomously, using initiative to manage responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail to ensure work is completed accurately within standard operating procedures.
