Finance Manager - Bournemouth

Salary circa 38,000pa (negotiable, depending on experience)

37 hours per week (hours can be flexible, to suit business needs)

Full time, Permanent Office position with free on-site parking, and the opportunity to work in a small, friendly team!

TeamJobs is looking for an experienced, dynamic Finance Manager to join a fantastic company based at their Head Office in Bournemouth. You will be responsible for all aspects of their finance and accounting functions up to trial balance; including inputting of sales and purchasing invoices, journals, reviewing of payroll, managing and undertaking balance sheet reconciliations. You will also be managing a team of Finance Assistants, so you will bring previous people management experience with you. This is an exciting role, supporting the finance functions across all company sites!

Your role will include:

  • Leading and managing the accounts payable, receivables and reconciliations teams
  • Providing effective management, leadership and motivation to your direct reports, ensuring their skills and knowledge are kept up to date
  • Responsibility for managing and overseeing the sales and purchase invoicing process, including payments to suppliers, promoters and partners
  • Assisting with payroll reviews and sign off
  • Managig the close down at month end and year end, ensuring all journal adjustments are processed accurately and timely
  • Ensuring all control measures and procedures are in place and are regularly reviewed

To be successful you will need:

  • AAT or similar Finance Qualification.
  • Part or full ACCA or equivalent qualification
  • Experience of working in a busy accounting role
  • People management experience
  • Excellent knowledge of excel and accounting systems
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak to people at all levels
