THE NETWORK ENGINEER ROLE:

  • Design, implement, and manage network solutions for multiplayer games.
  • Ensure efficient and secure networking for online gaming, including matchmaking, server hosting, and load balancing.
  • Work closely with developers to optimize network performance for current and next-gen console games.
  • Utilise your knowledge of networking topologies such as NAT, UDP, TCP/IP, and sockets to maintain seamless player experiences.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues to ensure the stability of multiplayer environments.

NETWORK ENGINEER - ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, including NAT, UDP, TCP/IP, and sockets.
  • Experience working with multiplayer APIs and networking for online gaming.
  • Familiarity with matchmaking, multi-threaded coding, server hosting, and load balancing.
  • Previous experience with C# programming.
  • Knowledge of current and next-gen console compliance requirements.

Desired Skills:

  • Direct experience working in the gaming industry or on multiplayer gaming platforms.
  • Passion for gaming and understanding of industry best practices.
