THE NETWORK ENGINEER ROLE:
- Design, implement, and manage network solutions for multiplayer games.
- Ensure efficient and secure networking for online gaming, including matchmaking, server hosting, and load balancing.
- Work closely with developers to optimize network performance for current and next-gen console games.
- Utilise your knowledge of networking topologies such as NAT, UDP, TCP/IP, and sockets to maintain seamless player experiences.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues to ensure the stability of multiplayer environments.
NETWORK ENGINEER - ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, including NAT, UDP, TCP/IP, and sockets.
- Experience working with multiplayer APIs and networking for online gaming.
- Familiarity with matchmaking, multi-threaded coding, server hosting, and load balancing.
- Previous experience with C# programming.
- Knowledge of current and next-gen console compliance requirements.
Desired Skills:
- Direct experience working in the gaming industry or on multiplayer gaming platforms.
- Passion for gaming and understanding of industry best practices.
