JN Technical are recruiting a Business Development Manager on behalf on a specialist UK construction contractor who operate within the rail market. As the new BDM you will be responsible for driving growth, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the companys presence in the rail sector. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and working collaboratively with internal teams to deliver competitive solutions. The successful candidate will be proactive, commercially savvy, and will ideally have experience within the rail industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the rail sector, including tenders and partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Liaise with the pre-construction team in the preparation and submission of high-quality bids, tenders, and proposals that meet client requirements.
  • Work closely with technical, commercial, and project teams to ensure alignment on project delivery and client expectations.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to identify potential growth areas and risks.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company and build contacts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions for clients.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of rail industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, sales forecasts, and pipeline status.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the company's overall revenue growth strategy.
