Manufacturing Futures are currently looking to appoint a Senior Materials Controller for a fast growing manufacturer based near Wakefield. The successful Senior Materials Controller will be tasked with ensuring all KPI's are achieved in relation to stock control, consumables procurement, stock forecasting, inventory and pricing/discounts. Senior Material Controller - Role and Responsibilities - Stock Controller- Supervise and develop Material Control Department - Ability to drive an FLT- Contribute to the development of a ERP system improvements to generate a more efficient working environment- Plan and manage stock/inventory targets and optimise the supply chain ensuring on-time allocation of stock to live jobs - Ensure raw material costs are kept up to date and viewed periodically whilst managing stock counts and valuation- Contribute to stock reduction planning and implementation in relation to current, obsolete and slow moving inventory- Purchasing ex raw-materials and production consumables

Senior Material Controller - Skills and Abilities - Lean Material Analyst- Assertive and able to supervise a small team- Previous experience working with ERP, with regard to forecasting, supply and materials mgmt- Ability to work to critical deadlines- Good knowledge of production process and procedure- Commitment to continuous improvement - Ability to continuously improve all work areas by means of CI and 5S techniques
