Sheet Metal Worker

Experienced Sheet Metal Worker required for a well-established local employer. You will undertake the manufacturing of all types of fabrications & metalwork for bespoke machining. The role would suit someone with previous experience of producing high quality fabrications or with a relevant welding, fabrication apprenticeship or qualifications.
As the Sheet Metal Worker you will be responsible for:
- Reading, interpreting and working to engineering drawings
- Cutting metal using saws and guillotines
- Working with mainly thin gauge material
- Operating a press brake
- TIG welding and tacking 1-2 mm thick stainless steel
- Basic mechanical assembly
As the Sheet Metal Worker you will:
- Be an experienced Sheet Metal worker familiar with working in a range of materials and thicknesses to produce complex fabrications
- Be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of TIG welding
- Have the ability to operate a Pressbrake
- Have the ability to communicate effectively and complete all assigned tasks to strict standards and specifications
- Be able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Ideally hold a relevant welding, fabrication apprenticeship or qualifications
- Have previous experience in producing high quality bespoke fabrications
The Company:
- Well-established special purpose machinery manufacturer working on interesting projects
- 8am - 4.30pm Monday - Thursday
- 8am - 3.30pm Friday
- Overtime available
