We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support our accountants and clients by managing daily accounting tasks and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other tax-related documents.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Communicate with clients to resolve any accounting queries.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • AAT qualification or working towards one is preferred.
