Principle Accountant

a Local Authority in Essex who are looking to appoint a talented Principle Accountant on an Interim basis are working with Spencer Clarke Group to find their next successful candidate.

About the role:

Based in South East Wales (Hybrid):

Responsibilities:

  1. Formulate and develop the General Fund and the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) Capital Programme, monitor programmes and produce reports.
  2. Oversee and lead on the Treasury Management function, including the management of the Council's cashflows, its banking, money market and capital market transactions.
  3. Help develop the HRA's 30-year Business Plan.

About you:You will have the following experience:

  • Knowledge and experience of local authority accounting.
  • Part or fully qualified Accountant (AAT or higher)
