Our client are looking for an Interim Finance Manager to assist the Head of Finance and wider team in preparing comprehensive monthly management accounts and supplementary reporting. This role will play a key role in helping to maintain controlled finance processes and delivering accurate outputs efficiently, whilst providing wider support for the team over a 3-month period.
Day-to-day of the role:- Manage the consolidated monthly close process
- Prepare and process month-end journals and review balance sheet reconciliations, including entries and accounts managed by central teams.
- Prepare monthly management reporting for the Business Unit, including commentary on year-to-date and full-year forecast variances from the budget or forecast.
- Account for, forecast, and report on cost excesses/savings.
- Engage with BUÂ teams to ensure compliance with financial policy and statutory requirements.
- Support the Head of Finance and Finance Director in preparing financial information and contribute positively to the Finance Leadership team to manage, guide, and motivate the Finance team.
- Provide cover for direct reports and peers as required and handle other ad hoc projects, processes, and procedures.
- Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- Experience working within the construction industry is essential
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
