Job Title: Group Finance ManagerSalary: c.£45,000 - £50,000 paLocation: Near Harlow, EssexTerm: Permanent, full time – office based The Role of Group Finance ManagerRecruitAbility is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Group Finance Manager to lead the Accounts Department in delivering exceptional financial services for our highly successful client. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of financial management, including accounts payable, cost control, and financial planning. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective management of financial operations while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Responsibilities
  • Daily bookkeeping: importing sales data, posting bank transactions, supplier invoices and payments, and credit control.
  • Managing multi-currency transactions.
  • Preparing management accounts for multiple companies within the group.
  • Handling company expenses.
  • Analyzing and reporting on sales and expenditure data.
  • Overseeing monthly payroll, annual P11Ds, dividends, and year-end processes.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns for the UK, various EU countries (including IOSS), and UAE.
  • Conducting bank reconciliations and managing intercompany transactions.
  • Liaising with external accountants in the UK and Spain for account preparation.
  • Managing ad hoc general administration tasks, including Companies House filings, company cars, HR, and insurance.
To Be Considered for the Role of Group Finance Manager
  • Proven experience within the financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles, including cost control, financial planning, and accounting practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information clearly to various audiences.
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 Payroll and Accounts software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
