Administrative Officer
  • Pay Grade: Starting from £13.02 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated Administrative Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, including handling correspondence, monitoring attendance, managing data, and overseeing financial systems. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our organisation and requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Receive, sort, and distribute post, including responding to correspondence via email and handling non-standard telephone queries.
  • Address complaints or queries from visitors, parents/carers, and pupils.
  • Monitor staff/pupil attendance and arrange teacher supply cover as required.
  • Maintain the collection, collation, and manipulation of school data, including administration of the examination process.
  • Design and produce documents and reports, including collating information for reports and newsletters.
  • Operate relevant equipment/ICT packages, manage diaries on behalf of others, organise school events and meetings, and take notes at meetings.
  • Oversee document and data information management.
  • Supervise others on designated tasks.
  • Use school financial systems to generate and pay invoices and monitor expenditure.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in school administration.
  • Previous experience with School Information Management System (SIMS).
  • Experience with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) is desired.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in ICT and familiarity with financial systems.
