Reed are supporting a local client in Bridgnorth to appoint a Senior Accountant. Join this manufacturing client at a time of growth and investment. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Financial Controller to delivery timely finance reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Produce financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual)
- Lead close processes (month-end, quarter-end, year-end)
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP)
- Conduct variance and trend analysis
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and audits
- Improve reporting processes and systems
- Use advanced Excel for data manipulation and reporting
Requirements:
- Advanced Excel skills
- 3+ years in financial reporting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Clear communication with finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Organised, deadline-driven, and proactive
