Isca Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Procurement Manager for our growing manufacturing client. This is a new role and we’re seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to strengthen our client’s supply chain, manage key supplier relationships, and support ambitious growth plans. This is an opportunity to drive improvements and make a real impact.

Procurement Manager - Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise cost, quality, and efficiency.
  • Lead and develop a small procurement team across two manufacturing sites in Somerset.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts and SLAs, maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Assess parts demand generated by sales and service teams.
  • Manage orders for special requests and non-standard parts.
  • Conduct data-driven forecasting and review past orders to anticipate demand.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels to support business growth and productivity.
  • Coordinate stock checks and ensure inventory records are up to date.
  • Monitor inventory levels, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with production, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless supply chain management.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, ensuring business continuity.

Salary: £45,000 - £59,000pa doe + excellent benefitsLocation: On site - Bridgwater / Worle

Procurement Manager - What We’re Looking For:

  • Experienced procurement professional committed to delivering high-quality products while continuously improving processes.
  • Proven experience gained within manufacturing/engineering sectors.
  • First rate communicator with strong negotiation and supplier / stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop a small team and work effectively across multiple sites.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and ERP/MRP systems.
  • A proactive and strategic mindset with a hands-on approach.
  • Experience working in an ISO9001:2015-regulated environment.
  • Driver with own transport as occasional travel to other sites will be required.
