Job Purpose / Overview
Join one of the UK's most ambitious and complex infrastructure projects at Hinkley Point C. As a Construction Delivery Lead, you'll be at the heart of delivering a new era of sustainable energy. Working as part of the Site Construction Directorate, you will oversee and coordinate the activities of Tier 1 contract partners, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

This role focuses on mechanical construction disciplines, including HVAC, piping, stainless steel, welding, and fabrication. Your leadership will play a pivotal role in delivering a safe, high-quality build that meets strict deadlines within a dynamic, high-security environment.

The Construction Delivery Lead will specifically oversee the construction within the Nuclear Island (NI) area, including Units 1 & 2 (N1, N2, and N3). As this project is massive in scale and complexity, we're looking for someone with experience in delivering large projects under challenging constraints.

Principal Accountabilities
* Leadership & Oversight: Manage and support Construction Delivery Managers, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities across site and office activities.
* Mechanical Expertise: Oversee mechanical construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Planning & Coordination: Lead weekly planning meetings, daily briefings, and coordination sessions with contractors, driving alignment with project schedules.
* Site Surveillance: Conduct site inspections and assurance audits, maintaining a strong presence on site to ensure works are executed safely and effectively.
* Document Management: Review and approve construction documentation, including Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMs), Work Authorisation Forms (WAFs), and Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs).
* Interface Management: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage contractor interfaces and ensure seamless integration across all project areas.
* Safety Advocate: Champion a strong nuclear safety culture and ensure best practices are embedded across all teams.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* Proven experience delivering large, complex construction projects with expertise in mechanical disciplines such as HVAC, piping, welding, and fabrication.
* Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., NEBOSH, SMSTS, or IOSH qualified).
* Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
* Experience in strategic site planning, resource allocation, and construction sequencing.
* Relevant degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction.

Desirable:

* Familiarity with CDM Regulations and construction assurance processes.
* Knowledge of French is advantageous but not essential.
