Accounts Manager
- Annual Salary: £45,000- £55,000 (DoE)

Reed are currently working with reputable and growing accountancy practice who are seeking an Accounts Manager. This role is based in the Brighton area and offers a fantastic opportunity to manage and prepare accounts and tax work for a diverse clientele, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. You will be directly reporting to the Partners.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare and manage sole trader and partnership accounts and self-assessment tax returns using Iris software.
- Handle limited company accounts and corporation tax returns on Iris software.
- Prepare and manage VAT returns using various software packages including Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
- Directly liaise with clients to gather necessary information for completing accounts, tax, and VAT returns within deadlines.
- Conduct practice management activities such as WIP control and client billing.
- Develop relationships with clients to deliver added value and identify new opportunities.
- Maintain the highest technical and professional standards.
- Provide guidance and support to clients as needed.
- Coach, train, and develop junior staff to enhance their professional skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs Grade A-C or equivalent, including Maths and English.
- 3 A Levels Grade A-E or equivalent.
- ACCA or ACA Qualified
- Minimum of 3 years experience in accounts and tax work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in double-entry bookkeeping and capable of preparing accounts from prime records.
- Comprehensive tax knowledge to prepare various tax returns and computations.
