This role involves assisting the Senior Finance Manager with the day-to-day functions of the Finance Department and providing accurate financial information to internal departments and Head Office.

This role offers a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities:

House Sales Ledger:

  • Review completion statements and post house sales journals for customer plot purchases.
  • Prepare the control account of Customer Plot Balances and maintain the house sales ledger.
  • Handle ad hoc sales queries.

Cashbook & Journals:

  • Manage general ledger and Cashbook journals, and input to Coins.
  • Conduct weekly Bankline “one-time” faster payments and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare daily Cashbook, categorizing “actual” spend (no forecasting).
  • Process Sales Ledger Invoices for Partnership Housing and a small number of ad-hoc invoices.
About you:
  • AAT Qualified or equivalent; strong bookkeeping skills essential.
  • Experience in a busy finance department, preparing financial reports, and reconciliation work.
  • Familiarity with multiple ledgers including general ledger, purchase ledger, sales, and payroll.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise workload, and work under pressure.
