Robert Half Finance & Accounting are currently recruiting for an Interim Accounts Assistant to join a business based in Central Bristol for a period of 2-3 months. You'll be working within a small, friendly team and supporting an interesting and growing business. There is potential for this role to become permanent, if you wish.

Role: Accounts Assistant

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 DOE & qualifications (Hourly rate equivalent)

Duration: 2-3 months

Start date: ASAP

Working pattern: 37.5 hours a week, flexible with start/finish times. Initially in the office for training and then hybrid split is three days in the office, two from home

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure all supplier invoices are processed accurately, PO numbers are matched accordingly
  • Liaise with external and external stakeholders to resolve queries
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Ensure customer invoices are raised accurately
  • Posting bank transactions
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Preparing payment runs
  • Processing expenses
  • Chasing debt and overdue invoices including weekly debtors review
  • Producing monthly accruals
  • Additional adhoc tasks to assist the wider team

Skills/Experience needed:

  • Previous experience in managing an accounts payable ledger, as a minimum
  • Computer literate & comfortable using Excel
  • Conscientious approach to work
  • Team player - Willing to help the team and get stuck in
  • Reliable - Can manage own workload
  • Studied/studying AAT - Desirable
  • Positive, "can do" attitude!
