They are looking for a passionate and proactive Health and Safety Advisor to join their dynamic team and help them uphold and exceed their commitment to health and safety standards.
The Role
As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in promoting a culture of safety across all levels of the organisation. Working closely with teams on-site and in the office, you'll provide expert guidance, ensure compliance and lead initiatives that prioritise the wellbeing of their workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies.
- Develop, implement and review risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Deliver engaging health and safety training and toolbox talks to staff and subcontractors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near-misses, producing detailed reports with recommendations for improvement.
- Support teams with practical solutions to health and safety challenges.
- Stay up to date with changes in legislation and ensure policies and procedures are updated accordingly.
- Foster a positive health and safety culture across all teams.
What They're Looking For:
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (essential).
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within construction (or similar).
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage others.
- A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
