A leading regional contractor with offices based in the south west are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join their business. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the top specilaisr contractors in the UK with over 70 years' experience as one of the paramount reputable contractors. This Health & Safety Advisor will play a key part within their existing Health & Safety team, reporting directly to the Head of Health & Safety.



About the role of H&S Advisor:

This specialist contractor traditionally specialises in earthworks projects, traditionally working on large scale projects for Tier 1 contractors across the south west valuing up to 400m. The role of Health & Safety Advisor will oversee up to six sites across the area.

Responsibilities for H&S Advisor include:

  • Provide support and knowledge across the team, particularly to more junior staff as and when required.
  • Ensure company-wide policies & procedures are met & maintained across sites, through building good relationships with operational teams.
  • Regularly visit sites carrying out audits alongside offering training and support where required, documenting via regular reports.


Requirements for H&S Advisor:

  • Relevant NEBOSH certification or NVQ in HSE
  • Preferably a Chartered member of IOSH
  • Strong understanding of SHE legislation's including ISO45001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001
  • Previous experience within the construction industry and preferably exposure working on similar value projects.
